McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator 4.5 Release Candidate

ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) is McAfee’s centralized management console that enables deployment, management, and reporting of many of our security technologies. The customized web-based console enables companies to reduce their overall cost of managing security while gaining significant visibility of their enterprise’s security status across their infrastructure.

This version provides improved stability.

McAfee Agent 4.5 Release Candidate

Install the McAfee Agent (MA) on the systems you intend to manage with ePolicy Orchestrator versions 4.0 or 4.5.

Note: If you are installing the McAfee Agent 4.5 for use with ePolicy Orchestrator 4.0, you must first apply ePO Patch 4.

McAfee Agent 4.5 improves performance of policy enforcement, implements cross-platform process-to-process communication, and supports the new features of ePolicy Orchestrator 4.5.

McAfee SiteAdvisor Enterprise Plus 3.0 Beta 1

SiteAdvisor Enterprise (SAE) solutions can easily be installed for all business users and are ready to deploy across your organization with ePO. With SiteAdvisor Enterprise Plus (SAE+), you can customize the authorization or blocking of web site access, view reporting, control messaging, and assign actions based on safety ratings - all to ensure policy compliance.

SiteAdvisor Enterprise solutions stay up-to-date on the latest threats. It continually crawls the Internet with intelligent “bots,” or virtual computers, that download sites and scans them for malware. The bots even fill out registration forms to determine whether sign-up triggers spam. If the site contains malicious code or other suspicious activity, SAE+ solutions mark the site “red” for risky.

SiteAdvisor Enterprise Plus version 3.0 boasts enhancements to existing event reporting as well as new web site rating capabilities and navigation enforcement options.  Also, SAE+ 3.0 is the first ePO point product to support policy assignment rules, which permit policy delivery based on LDAP attribute rather than machine name.  All SAE+ 3.0 policy categories are supported.
