Overview
McAfee® Security for Mac is an integrated suite of products that uses advanced heuristics and protects your Mac from viruses, trojans, spyware, and other malware. It also protects your Mac from execution of blocked applications, and unauthorized network access. It integrates with ePolicy Orchestrator and enables you to manage product policies and events, and view detailed enterprise-level reporting.

— Snow Leopard support

— Menulet icon for enabling easy access to the McAfee Security software.
— An enhanced graphical user interface.
— A new dashboard displaying:
— Recent events such as network blocked, scanning results, etc.
— Date and time of the last DAT (virus signatures) update
— Status of on-access scanning, anti-spyware, application protection, and desktop firewall protection.
— “History” page displaying the name, type, and date/time of all the events
— Support for spyware scanning
— Support for inbound and outbound firewall protection
— Support for Application Protection feature that blocks application from being executed or access the network

Hardware and Software Requirements
- Mac OS X Tiger (10.4.6 or later) or Mac OS X Leopard (10.5 or later) or Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6) operating system
- PowerPC or Intel-based Mac computer
- 1 GB or higher RAM
- Minimum 300 MB of free disk space (500 MB recommended)
